so will it be a worst ride then the springs eibach originally designed for the tl
(4041-140). Also I noticed that i can compress these springs with my bare hands a bit, where as the stock tl springs i cant. Is this normal, or a bad sign.

6th gen (98-02) Springs should fit. V6 though as said above. Coils for that model year will work as well.

I think 7th gen springs may work as well but you may need to reuse your dust boots and top hats.

Okay so they fit, but will they ride decently since they were designed to go on a lighter car??? Please if anyone knows the answer, reply. Im in a hurry to get them on because im riding on coilovers right now, and i cant tolerate it.

98-02 AV6 springs will be no problem.

98-02 I4 ones are the problems.. they're gonna drop your car more and give it a bit of a worse feel imo... diff spring rates so you'd risk bottoming out
