if you want better traction just upgrade the tires in the front you dont have to buy bigger just buy better just make sure they are the same size as the rear but if i waz you i would replace all four becuz think about when you go to get your wheels rotated and you have new in the front and old in the rear ???

Why would you wanna do that? What happens in 6000 miles when you need to rotate your tires? Do you have a different set of rims for the winter? If you don't, then you're going to have reduced traction in the winter (ie less weight per square inch of tire contact patch).

Keep it simple -- same size tires but keep them in sets of 2 (too bad they didn't change everything at the same time if they were low on tread).

to answer you question. yes you can upsize. I am 18s for the warm months and I use the stock 16s for the winter months. I am running 215\60\16 on the stock wheels. The stock size was 205\65\16. Some people are running 225\55\16. You speedo will be off a little bit. Just go with a good all season tire and you will be ok. I plan to put all season on when the 18s when they need new rubbers. Hope this helps.
