255/40/19 ??

Hey everyone I got a question for ya In about 8 hours im going to an auction to get myself a 01-03 TL. I got wheels from my other car in the garage right now and they're size 245/40/19 for front wheels and 255/40/19 for rears. These are deep-dish rears. I was wondering if there is anyway that that width would fit on that car. Really hoping for a yes reply Thats all i know about the size of the wheels and tires. thx

Wow! that's huge. There's no way those would fit on a TL the front wheels would grind to high heaven every time you took a turn. I've got 225's and you could probably get 235's on there but the 225's look great on a TL and they don't rub (a little bit with a drop). What was your old car an M5?

Go with 225's the are the best match for the TL trust me you won't be dissapointed and get the new Bridgestone fuzions they the stickiest tire on the market. I can't post pics I got 225's on my car w/ drop no rub issues

235/35/19 with an 8.0 inch rim...

8.5 inch rim is pushing it.

Btw, 20's fit on our rides...well a couple guys on a-cl.com have em and they aren't rubbin.

PLEASE don't suggest 20's on a TL. If they aren't rubbing, then the car isn't dropped and the damn thing looks like a 4x4!

Since you got the connections for cheap wheels I suggest you sell your set and get some that will fit properly.
Staggered set on a FWD vehicle... Great for laughs!

Beeza

Hi Beeza, I just read you post and was wondering if you ever did use the 255/40 19's? If you didn't or if you could get another set from your friend, I would be interested in buying them from you.

Thanks,
peter-sanchez@cox.net
