235's
#2
Just about every tire mfrs recommends a rim width between 7.5 and 9 inches for that tire size. Our stock TL-S wheels are only 6.5 inches wide, so it's not recommended.
Having said that, I've been running 235/45-17 Pirellis for almost two years without any problems or adverse affects. I understand that the sidewall of Pirelli PZero Neros are very stiff, so that's why they work for me.
Flame on.

It would but it is not safe for the width rim. A 2nd Gen TL-S rim is only 6.5 inches in width and the recommended with is at least 7 inches. I would NOT put that size on an OEM 6.5 width wheel as there is a chance the tire will come off the bead.
There are numerous threads regarding this, just type the size in the search and a couple of threads come up.

If you do decide to use this size just exercise caution as there are risks to using this size.
