22s on acura tl 01
 

Can i fit 22s on a 01 acura without a lift kit?????? or i got to lift it and was the max i can go up to besides 18s i know the standard rim is ummmm 16s so was the max

Standard is 16 on Base and 17 on TL-S
BUT 22? LOL that wont even fit even if you beat it to death... It wont clear the Knuckle and if you install spacers it wont fit the fenders by a good margin...

Size criteria:
18s is a nice and good fit
19s depends on offset
20? Pull Fenders and Spacers
21? Nope
22? Now you are kidding.

That is not the STOCK suspension man.. I hope you realize that.
Just by looking at them they have Custom Front; Lower A-arms, Custom Upper A-arms, Custom lift kit, Custom Rear Lower A-ARM, Custom Rear upper control arm.
I can assume they have more money put into the suspension rising kit + wheels + tires than the whole car cost.

There must be shops that do that sort of thing? I really do not know anyone in my years in this forum that have pulled that off, You will see people often here preferring function over looks so I kinda got stuck in my mind the parameters for Reasonable wheel sizes that work in our TL.. +21inch area? not really common around here since it requires a lot of work.

Since I have been on it, this site has pretty much always been function over form. So sure it can be done, but I don't think anyone here has done it.

I bet those 22's would fit with minor trimming to the bumper, removing the fender trim and rolling the fenders. It definitely wouldn't need a lift kit or anything but some major alignment tweaking. Not at ALLLLL my style but its very doable without any major work as described.

Lets do the math.

There's 25.4mm per inch. A stock tire being 205/60/16 OR 8.07 inches wide at its max, then taking 60% of that is 4.84 inches tall. So, adding 4.84 inches to 16 inches makes 20.84 inches from top to bottom of the tire from factory. We all know how much the car can be lowered with just any normal lowering spring so its not hard at all to imagine removing 2 inches of wheel gap for a 22" wheel and another inch or so for those stupid rubber band tires they have to run.

They'd work with no problem, just a bit of trimming and adjusting for daily use and you're on your donking way.

We are in the process of putting 22s on a 2003 acura tl type . We are using blocks in the springs, 1 1/2 inch spacers, and we have had to cut. The problem we are running into now is turning, the tires scrub the firewall when you turn too much so I'm thinking flap disc some metal off and then paint bit don't know yet how much I can grind off. Funny experience, definitely doing it as a pun but still doing it
