2003 TL with 2006 TL wheels (17 x 8)
New to TL forums, used to be on acuracl.com a few years back.
Anyone put the new TL wheels on the 03 TL? I just got them and they look a bit wide. I haven't put the H&R sport springs in yet but i'm a little worried that there will be issues. The wheels look dope though, hoping to get any advice that might help me with these. I like the acura look, i don't want to have fancy rims and all that but i don't like the wheels that came with the car either, they were like fatty donut tires on 12s hahaa.. not quite but it looked that way. Any ideas?

No need to roll the fender..trim the rear tab and you will be good.
I have them but they have been retired for now until I can refinish them.

well, i just got the H&R 2" drop on it and some new shocks. busted home, took the long freeway route. i only rubbed once when i was nail'n a turn and it had a dip in it. i'm thinking w/ a couple people in the back it will rub more. probably going to do something to make sure it doesn't get annoying. but i'm definately keeping the 06 TL wheels, they look really good now w/ the car sitting lower they really look clean. i think i'm going to trade them in for a chrome plated set. i saw a deal on e-bay for $440 you give them your wheels and they replace yours w/ plated ones. anyone checked that out?

what size tire is on the 06 wheels? is it a 245? I donno if anyone has tried a 225 on them to see if that helps the rubbing issue

i was waiting to detail it. today i used a claybar and then waxed it and i was going to take some pictures but i was racing the sun going down to finish so i couldn't get one. soon though... i'm also still debating if i want to chrome the 06 factorys wheels or not, i like the way they look right now but chromed they could look cool but i'im scared it will look to bling. anyways...

To each his own!
I just made this switch on my 99 and really like the look. This is my commuter car and I just wanted something to make it look more sporty. I found a set locally for $600 and jumped on it. I was due for a new set of tires anyway so for a couple hundred more a got a good looking set of wheels with a brand new set of Michelin Pilots.

i think they look good too, the only problem i see with them is they might rub, if you like em then rock em out, who cares, its your car. I dont think i would chrome em, they look good just as is, get a oem body kit to finish it off.
