+55 is too high an offset (that's probably the first time I've said that). 17x8 +50 is ideal. And you can run 225 or 235 series tires with that offset.

NSXNEXT...please help....Im on the VERGE of purchasing a set of 17x8+48 wheels and mounting 235/45-17 tires on them. PLEASE tell me I'm not making a mistake.
FYI...I'm on the silver set of Comptech springs.

No camber kit. With my version of Comptech springs, I'm still in spec after alignment.
BTW....thank you Lawaia. If it's not too much trouble...where can I find a picture of this "tab"? I've heard it been talked about many times before...but my car has been in the body shop for a major rear end collision 2 years ago and to this day, I still can't find any "tab". Perhaps the bodyshop never re-installed it? Either way, I still don't know what this tab looks like.

On the rear, place your hand under the fender lip and run your hand towards the rear bumper. Where the metal fender and plastic bumper meets you will feel a piece of plastic which extends further inward than the curvature of the metal fender lip. This is the infamous "tab" that needs to be trimmed.
I'll try and get a pic for you this week.
