To be detailed so i get some help:

-MY car dies when i'm going slow speeds or near a complete stop.
-It happened 3-4 times already
-After the last time it happened, i couldn't reverse, reverse makes loud buzzing noise
-I can still drive forward
-Had my ignition switch replaced after the first time it happened, wasn't really the problem
-Took to dealer, they said "they couldn't find the problem"
-Took it to a Acura specialist, "they said it was my transmission"
-As soon as i couldn't reverse it out of a parking lot, a AAA tech told me something about a pulley
-These stalls and engine deaths started after a 1 mph collision to a wall
-Batteries changed, Fuel injection pump changed, power steering pump changed, ECU box changed, Engine Oil Changed, Transmission fluids and pads changed by Acura Dealer.

I'm seriously stumped, i already spent soo much money in fixing and caring for this car. Anyone got any ideas on what could be the problem? I'm getting so many "suggested problems" and have no clue what to ask to get checked.

My warrenty just ended yesterday, so i'm on my own!! AHHH damn. Any info and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks Alot!

i have a 3g, not that it matters here though...

i think that you still maybe able to get this covered under warranty. if you took it in or even reported the problem to acura before your warranty was over, you are still covered under the warranty. it's something under the magnuson-moss act. i'm not sure exactly what it states, but i am sure that it's there as i'm currently in the process of fighting acura with a lawyer. you might want to do some searches on here for that act and see what it turns up.

either way, good luck figuring out what happened and getting it all taken care of.

The check engine light is there, It went away for like 3 weeks, then i hit a small pothole bump and then it turned back on again. This happened 4 months ago, the light is still on but my Acura Dealer said theres nothing wrong, except for an EG Air flow valve, which has nothing to do with transmission or anything like that. I was told that only produced carbon monoxide, or basically just makes my car smell deadly when i turn on the Air or Fan.

I checked my garage for any drips on the floor, there are none. I tried putting the car in reverse again, the sound seems to be getting louder and louder so i'm gonna stop using the car.

I went to 2 acura dealers, both of them had no clue what is wrong with it at all. One of them hinted that my tranny could be busted very soon, but not being able to reverse is a symptom. I already tried called the Acura corp. and they said that since my warrenty expired, they can't fix my tranmission, IF it was broken that is. Cause all my test came out perfectly normal, i doubt it has to do anything with my Mods.

I just doubled checked it and yeah..it got worse! Now when i start my car it makes the sound, even leaving my car makes that sound. I'm really getting ticked off here, MY babe has been with me eversince highschool, she never let me down, i love her more than my girlfriend! And she just left like this, I gotta find some way to fix her. I don't wanna waste anymore thousands of dollars just to fix something that might not be wrong. Damn...

If anyone has an clues, ideas, or any places where i should start, i'll greatly appreciate this with all my Acura TL Life! =D

The EGR is a emissions related part and should be fixed for starters. It may be causing the stalling. there are DIYs on cleaning the egr ports if you search around.

As for why you cant get it in reverse is it like that all the time or just from time to time? Bring it back to the dealer now that its worse and tell them to fix it. Simple as that. if the problem is there they should be able to narrow it down. dont take cant figure it out for a answer

Well, its been figured out..the reason why the noise and everything. The reason for the noise is that my transmission axel is dislocated from an accident. And therefore couldn't move in reverse. Because of this problem, and driving on it still, it cause my Tranny to get shot up. Now the gears are all messed up, stupid me.

So my advice to you, if this ever happens, is to get your axels checked, tranny fluids refreshed, and any maintence required for you car. Also, some tips that the guys found was that if you use Lucus during your tranny flush, you'll increase the longevity of your tranny plus "renew" the tranny, so they say.

Thats what i'm gonna do to save my tranny, replace the geras and axel, flush my tranny and seal it.

Sounds like typical Acura service in my experience.

PS: I'd be suspicious of their explanation. The transmission has a warranty because it's screwed design-wise, and they'd love to get out of replacing it if they can.

Just to confirm the warranty, I took my 2000 TL in roughly 2-3k before the warranty was over and they could not find the problem or the problem could not be replicated again. I eventually had the IAC replaced 5k mile later, but since I was there and open the case prior to the warranty passing they covered it.

Hummm Shouldn't his insurance cover that since it was caused from the accident????
