Viper 5901 issue help!!!!!!
Hey guys, so I got a viper 5901 alarm and remote start for my 2002 TL type S. I had a shop install it cause I have no experience working with alarms. Everything is working fine with the alarm, but the remote start all of a sudden crapped out on me. When I hit the button everything turns on in the car, dash lights up, but the car does not turn over. I took it back to the place the guy looked it over and said that there is no power being sent from the brain to the starter cable out put. I just hope this is what can be wrong with the car. I dont want to be taken for a sucker!!!! Can anyone with experience please let me know if this can be the cause of the issue. I am using a bypass for it. Its really wierd that it was working great for 3 days and then it just stopped working. Please help with any thoughts or info.

A) Take it back wherever you had it installed, leave it there & tell them to call you when it's fixed.
B) Tell them to remove it from your vehicle because it doesn't work properly & get your $ back.
Did you pay w/ a credit card? If they won't make it right you should be able to dispute it w/ your cc issuer.

Thanks for the info, I got a second look from another shop that I know about. The dude did not charge me just to take a look. He mentioned that the install that was done from the first shop was done right. He did also say that the brain is not sending power to that starter cable. I contacted the place I bought the unit, and they said send it back and they will send me a new one. Hopefully this will take if this problem.
