Check out the "Regional" sub-forum for your particular area.
Call around to your local independent tranny shops and also any import "tuner" shops.

I found a shop that would rebuild IF they need to. He said he'd like to diagnose it before we get into replacing the unit. With that said, he said if it's a "direct" bolt on, he'd take a shot at it but needs the 4 "digit" code. An earlier post said BAYA or MAYA, would that be correct? TIA!

I had brother in law used to drive also Odyssey, it pissed him off after tranny failed and he could no longer back up at parking lot one time. He sold it afterward.

For a trans swap, the 05-06 oddy trans is what you would be looking for. My mentality for putting an 05 oddy trans in my 00 tl was: sure the 4th gear ratio on the Accord trans is a little taller, but I figured that the accord was probably driven pretty hard too. Odyssey is a minivan, prolly not driven as hard and I'll drop into 5th at a higher speed. So far its been 1 year and 30k and it still hits 150, yeah it takes 2 miles to get there from 75 but 150 is 150 and the trans feels like its new.

My trans just starting giving out on me Monday. I would really like to do the swap. This is the 4th time it's died on me and the first 3 rebuilds were under warranty from the shop that did the rebuild, but they won't cover it this time and I don't see the point in dropping $2500 to have it break again in another 6-8 months. I do a lot of work on my car, but this is a bit over my head, so I would bring it in once I found the trans. Where would be good places to look for one?

You have to swap over the range switch from your old TL tranny. I wouldn't bother with replacing the solenoids. But if you really want to, I think he is referring to the linear solenoids which will cost you about $250

I found a used 64K miles tranny on a 2007 Accord, got it for 750.00, and the labor and transmission oil from shop was $495.00, so at approx 1250.00 I am happy with the situation. I hope that the technology in the Honda accord transmission has had some improvements that will get a more durable transmission than the Acura problem filled Generation 2 trannys.
If interested, the shop that did it is in Danville Illinois, and is a second generation shop named Hank's Transmissions, and their number is 217-443-3091, ask for owner Hank. They have been in business for over 30 years and have a great reputation in central Illinois.
I know the post is old, but I’m considering doing the same swap on my 2002 TL-S. I’m having trouble finding a trans out here in St. Louis

I have a 2007 Honda Accord tranny for my 2000 Acura TL. We've found that all hooks up except the power steering pump. There is a place on the new tranny for it but there is a plate over it. Can we pull the plate off and put it in there? Please help I'm excited about the swap and for this to be the last time.

will any other auto gearboxes work on 2Gs? I have a 2000 TL myself, I'm the 3rd owner, and the car is, from what I could gather, on it's 4th transmission. I wanted to know if I could go crazy and swap in a much newer trans, like one from a TLX.
