Trans. No Shift, No Radio and No 12v Outlet
I recently had the pleasure of getting into my '02 TL-S (106k), starting it, and not being able to shift it out of park. Also, the radio was now dead, as was the 12v outlet. I noticed that the seat heater backlight was also suddenly out. I checked everything and found NO bad fuses. Everything else worked. I used a screwdriver to get the trans to shift. This morning, everything was back to normal(except the seat heater backlight is still out). I suspect a bad ground connection somewhere behind the radio console since the radio went dead, but no fuses blew. Anyone had these issues before?

does the seat heat work?
clock fuse is on passenger end of dash
sometimes the 12v outlet gets loose and slips into console- can short out there

the nuetral safety switch can keep it from shifting out of Park
Ck every brake light, center one too
or the switch itself can fail
tip- use car key and push straight down into slot to release the device-
shift to N- with brakes ON, remove key from slot and use to start car

they never go away on their own--they just hide for a while and cause other problems
you started with failing electrics,,now you have electric signal problems...
