Thanks to this site and those on it who are so helpful.

I had a problem with my 99 TL losing power.

I found the information I needed here to know what was wrong, call Acura and find out if it was covered under the recall, and then (when it wasn't) easily change out the part myself.

Saved me $200 in labor over taking it to Acura.

what was the source of the problem?

The ignition switch. There was a great DIY here on the site.

Funny thing. In the DIY it said that they broke the cover, because they couldn't get to the third screw. Well it looks like that is the same way Acura does it, since mine was already broken and Acure replaced it the first time.
