Overheating- needle pegged, or ? Happened suddenly or over a period of time? Fans operate normally? Checked coolant level?

More info needed-

if you get a 180~ reading of the coolant as viewed thru open rad cap,
but guage says other = replace guage sendor--
not to be confused with the fan temp sensor A located next to it
dash guage sendor has only 1 wire

try a dash guage sensor- cheap and easy enough to replace

rad cap is good? many reported failures recently
