Yeah they do tend to do that I'm guessing a few weeks ago started shifting funny like it would jerk and then Sunday it wouldn't go Into 3rd gear and the d5 light was blinking and now today it's starting to overheat I had a neighbor look at it and he said the fan wasn't coming on I know nothing about cars lol

Ugh..
I can't afford a car note if I could I would this car officially hates me I haven't even had it a a year yet and I've already broke down 202 times.
But recently it started revving on iots own while it's in park or drive doesn't matter the rpms jumps not a clue what that means guess im going to attempt to fix it.. :/

It needs some TLC. Sounds like you have a transmission problem. After addressing the tranny problem and all of the little things, the car will regain it's credited reliability. It just takes money and patience.
You say it's overheating? Maybe youre lucky and the radiator is leaking both coolant and tranny fluid and it just needs a new radiator for $75. Doubt it, but that would be easy to fix.

RPM jumping : vacuum leak or idle air control valve is malfunctioning.
