stutters on acceleration

I have a 2003 TL with approx. 70,000 mi. Last summer I noticed that when I accelerated from a stop it would stutter (hesitate) for a few seconds, maybe shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. There were no problems over the winter months but it started to happen again this summer. I just happened to notice that it doesn't occur when the A/C is off. Is this a summer/humidity thing or a transmission problem? It's okay in winter and sluggish in summer. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any idea what to do about it? Thanks!

Got the same problem on 99 TL. For me, it's not when the transmission shifts, but rather hard acceleration in the summer with a/c on, the car stutters slightly till v-tech kicks in.
Sorry Jim no help here but hopefully we'll get some suggestions!!

I was wondering if Seafoam might help? Maybe someone else has a solution.

Thanks

I had the same problem with my type-s is your check engine light on. My car would have the same problem on cold days it turned out to be a bad TPS sensor.
