Stalled after timing belt replacement
1999 TL, 180200 miles, 3.2 VTEC engine, Auto Transmission
This weekend I replaced the timing belt, water pump, tensioner and the other two drive belts. Car started and ran perfect in the garage, let it idle for an hour, got it to operating temperature, topped off all fluids, and took it out for a test drive. Got .04 mile down the road and the engine sputtered and died, and I coasted to a stop. Car was moving about 30 mph. Had it towed back to the driveway. Right now it will crank and fire after about two seconds, but wont start. The tach needle is not moving during cranking. Battery and electrical is fine from what I can see.
Did I blow the engine? Could it be the crank sensor? Could it the new belt have jumped time? If it jumped time, it the engine toast?
Any thoughts / insight are welcome.
Thanks,

Did you take an engine cover off to look at the timing belt? Any obvious signs of issues? Tension look OK? Line up the TDC mark on the crankshaft and see if the cams are in time? If the belt only jumped a couple teeth you might be OK.
