Lightbulb squeaky sound = Possible a/c belt prob

Hey peeps...Just wanted 2 give a little somethin back...I recently had a very loud squeak comin from the right side of the hood when in the car. I read very many posts about possible causes...anything from bad alt bearing to the dreaded water pump bearing...I put off doin anything about it cus funds r a little tight what with me being out of work since early Feb...anyway the squeak got worse and when I polled my buds who work on cars they said to change the a/c and p/s belts b 4 I panic. I did just that but found that my lower alt bolt had been sheared off and that the alt was just hanging by the upper bolt...
Yikes...I ended up drillin and drillin even bigger 2 get an easyout 2 fit and then very carefully backed out the busted bolt. I did this by movin the alt in front of the fan...a shop said I had 2 remove it completely because there was no room 2 work and was gonna charge way 2 much just 2 do that. never mind how much he would charge to remove the old bolt and make it all good. If any body wants 2 try this I would b happy 2 post some pics...4 now I will just post a pic of the busted bolt with the easyout...opps dont have enough posts 2 post pics...Score 1 for the DIY mechanic anyway
