Replacement shocks
Looking for brand recommendations. My car (2003 TL Type-S) has over 300k miles on it and I'm not looking to mod it, lower it, or add any type of performance suspension. Just looking for a good value shock that will restore the ride close to original. I estimate I have about 50k miles left on the car (I'm not going to replace the timing belt again, and this is my best estimate as to when it will fail).
All that said, I'm looking for brand recommendations. Options I've seen at a reasonable price (relatively cheap) include KYB Excel-G, Sachs Super Touring, Gabriel Ultra Premium, Gabriel Guardian, and Monroe OESpectrum. Prices range from ~$39 - ~$52 per shock. Anyone have experience with any of them? Recommendations for other brands within this price range? Thanks in advance. |
Some lower cost options. I have the Megan Racing shocks on my daily driver and they do the job adequately.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll look further into the Megan shocks. They are very reasonably priced.
