Headlight Fuse Popping
So I have a 2001 acura tl base w navigation and the left headlight fuse wad popping every time i out a new one in and turned my lights on. I will explain how I diagnosed (very easily, you just need a few fuses) what my issue was.
1. I checked my ground, its against the car right or left connected to the side of the engine bay by the fender (black wires with silver lines on them). As long as they aren't corroded away don't worry about them.
2. I unplugged my headlight from the ballast, turned my lights on, still popped.
3. I unplugged my ballast from the inverter (the white ish connector) and turned my head lights on, still popped.
4. I unplugged the inverter, the inverter is connected right next to the ballast cover and is the grey ish connector. My fuse then didn't pop.
I went to the local junk yard and got one for $8.99 and replaced it and no more popping fuse.
I can do a tutorial if this thread gets enough people commenting, I know it is hard to find a good diy on changing these. The diy is actually pretty easy though, all you must do is remove the 2 bolts that connect at the corner of the bumper and fender, remove the 3 body pins on top of the bumper between the lights. And maybe 1 or 2 at each corner of the bottom of the bumper. I just let my bumper sag down so I had enough clearance to change it, it took me about an hour start to finish.
