My name is roland we have a 2003 tl type s VIN # 19UUA56943A001864 The trans has slipped since 20012 and finally the thing slipped inbetween gears and messed up ingine how do i find out recall info or am i SOL if so can i replace it with a 6 speed standard .

 

the recall issued back in 2003? was to install an external oil jet kit in the filler hole for trans
Does your car have a large bolt with ATF stamped on it? or it has a small oil line going to a special fixture inserted into atf filler hole- top center of trans?

Next- are there any bolts on your trans that hold things to trans (ie: brackets)
or main trans to engine bolts - with BLUE paint on the bolt heads??
