Real Engine Seal

Anyone had their rear engine seal replaced? Cost? Also, anyone in the Kentucky area know of a good mechanic....I got an estimate from the stealership and they said it would be close to $1K

going to be pricy, its all labor. They have to remove the trans to do it. should be a 1 day job though.

They quoted me about 8hrs. of labor at $90/hr. That's $720 in labor alone....

yep, while removing the trans is easy, it just takes some time. Dealers that have replaced the trans quite abit can do it in around 4 hours (the techs tant have to do it alot) Ive had mine out in 3 hrs in a garage. Its just all labor unfortunatly with about 45 min of actual work for the part itself tops
