for the factory intake, you can buy an air filter from places like pepboy, Auto Strauss or autozone for about 20$, just as good as the dealer. i just change my air filter yesterday, cost me 20 dollar with installation at a local oil change center.

I would be hesitant about putting in an intake. Your gas mileage goes down signigicatly and the only performance benifit that I found was a bit more noise from under the hood. I have a drop in K&N now and it works great. Just a suggestion.

If the only thing a CAI did was increase noise, that wouldn't be a peformance increase. CompTech has dynographs on their web site that document the hp and torque improvements from installing their Icebox.

Speaking of saving money...

I would advise against you getting 10000k HID lights. You are only paying for more
"blueness" and actually LESS light. I was just reading a thread and someone is actually selling his 10000k HIDs because they aren't bright enough.

Bigger is not always better. If you want to see less and just have your light look a little bit bluer, go ahead, but I wouldn't do it.

where did you get this information??? I 100% noticed the power increase when I put in the AEM V2, I also noticed the loss of power when I took it off.

and the only reason your gas mileage would go down is if you floor it all the time to hear the sweet sound of VTEC with an intake!

to Da_iLLeZt_TL973: since you have a TLP, I would get the AEM V2 if you really want some power increases. It is an amazing intake

very true - the highest I would go would be 6000k bulbs. I will probably do that when my current ones go out.

just clean the old filter a little bit if you are getting a intake. just blow it with compressed air. replace it if its breaking apart from ebing brittle and stuff.

^^^^^agree why buy a new filter if you are just going to get a CAI soon anyway? Just clean it up a little w/compressed air or a huge fart or something.

Mileage wont go down with any of those mods, unless your flooring it all the time to feel the hp and sound difference
