Anyone else have problem with armrest catch? Stupid armrest thing keeps coming up. Little keeper arm is not worn and catch is completely intact.
Any suggestion on fixing this problem?

Nope no problem here.

Are all teh screws that hold it in place there? If its not holding something must be worn.

Mine used to do this, it was because I had too much crap in my armrest. Empty the sucker out a little and yours should stay closed.

Look on the underside of the armrest. You should see several screws that hold the armrest handle in place. Make sure all of the screws are still there and screwed in tight. If any are missing, replace them. If they are loose and/or missing, your armrest will flop around all the time. It happened to me when I first got the car. Once I replaced some missing screws and tightened the rest, all was well. Although they will still come loose every once in a while. You'll know they are when the damn thing starts flopping open again.

Flip up the top part and look for the screws on the underside

Screws are there and everything is tight. Already removed excessive crap. No broken plastic pieces. Don't have problems with the large compartment just the small one on the top. Looked at the little plastic tab and doesn't appear to be broken. At work but will check tomorrow.

Only other thing I can think of is that the "catch" tab/hook is worn. You'd have to replace that to fix it.

There's a tsb on it. You need the new, improved latch. Part #is 83407-S0K-A01, it's got a longer tooth, worked great on mine.

It's a $7 part that you can install yourself in about a minute. Be happy you don't drive a BMW.

Contacted Acura dealer and looked on ehonda parts; both want $10+SH. Closest dealer is 80mls. Honda can get it but it is $15. Where can I get it for $7?
A little frustrated with Acura. Supposed to be a high quality car. Purchased vehicle used in July with only 76,000mls and have had to replace the A/C wiring harness and blower motor, now this, tranny is starting to do that 2-3 shift stutter, and I have a squeek in the cabin I cannot find.
Already have an '89 mustang 5.0 vert I am restoring/modding and was hoping not to have to spend so much time working on the Acura.
Dont get me wrong; I am happy with the TL-S but these little nit-noid things are trying my patience.
