pax airbag indicator issue
hey what's up people quick question on my Acura the passenger side airbag light keeps on turning off and on. I have a friend that weighs about 220 pounds and when he sits in the passenger seat the light will go off and come back on in about 10 minutes then go back off. I received a letter from Acura stating issues with the air bag on 2003 acura tl's. I'm going to make an appointment to go to the dealership and check it out but you thing that could be the issue? thank you guys for your time

seperate issues- the recall is for your airbag inflator speed being too fast
the pass seat has a sensor in the lower and back parts to sense if a passenger is leaned forward, or against the glass, or has the seat layed way back
in that case= airbag deplyment in a crash will break their neck
so the side bag is shut off when the light is On
If he isnt squirming around or doing the other things, its a sensor prob
MIGHT be part of the special SRS 10/150 warranty
speak with the service MANAGER ..not the service writer, who knows little about anything beyond filling in boxes on a screen
