P1750 code clutch pressure control valve malfunction
I have a 2003 3.2 TLS a-spec. 95k Tranny was factory replaced at 53k. Bought the car about 3 months ago and was running great up until about 10 days ago when check engine light came on. Since the light came on the car seemed to run OK no surging, rough idle etc however I have had a drastic drop in fuel mileage. My mechanic reset codes today. Any help on problem and cost of repair.

P1750 = Mechanical problem in tranny's hydraulic system.
If the code comes back after the reset, then check the clutch pressure control solenoid valves A/B assembly. Does the "D5" idicator lamp flash ? How is the fluid's level and condition ? Any other codes besides this one ? |
Yes the D5 does flash
Yes the D5 does flash and I saw that they had a recall for the second gear and I took in in they said that the second gear looked fine. They put new fluid in my car and now is popping up with the error code

Where exactly is solenoid valve A/B? I'm having the same issue as the OP. I found one under the battery tray that has two valves and 6 10m bolts, parallel to the floor. Is this it?

Yeppur, try cleaning the screens underneath the tubes when ya remove the top cover plate. The middle one tends to clog worse than the others. Replace the inline ATF filter while in there with everything out of the way.

3.2TLc post is correct. To be clear, one need not replace the "pressure control valve" as suggested in some other forums. Clean the screen under each tube, and the entire pressure control valve assembly. As 3.2TLc stated, the middle screen will have the most buildup. Check each solenoid by applying 12 volts to insure solenoid actuates before reassembly. Replace the inline filter, and flush the system by changing fluid, driving, and then changing fluid again.
