p0108 : MAP sensor or barometric pressure sensor input is higher than expected for current engine operating conditions.
The engine and ! light only comes on when the car's cold. The supercharger sounds like it picked up bad smoking habits, it's louder too. Car doesn't like to go past 3k rpm w/o going vrr vrr vrr vrr ploop (shuts off).
Car is only at 52k miles, with the s/c installed in the spring/summer. Do you guys think it's the vaccum hoses or do I need a new map sensor?

Only 2 real possibilities with that code. The map sensor is bad or the ECU is done. (given things are plugged in and wires arent damaged)

weird stuff happens with that p0108. i unplugged my map (diagnosing some misfire i'm having) and got the code and when cold the car had a hard time staying on. i have to press the gas to keep the rpms up otherwise when i put in reverse/drive it can die suddenly (i'm in chicago so it's really cold out). also any sudden load (like turning on heat/ac) might cause it to die also. i notice the rpm's are low (after warming up) at about 550, normally it's 750 so the engine is on the borderline of running. also yep your rev limmiter is now 3k. in addition the car stays in Open loop mode (your running rich now) wasting lots of gas.
check the connection and/or replace your map.
