What does this button on the door panel do?

And are the P R N D5 D4 D3 D2 D1 on the shiftgate supposed to light up?

the first is your mirror heater like if you have ice or fog on them hit that
and only if your headlights are on i believe those should light up

My shift plate lights are out, what might be the problem??

well i would have to say the bulb is most likely burnt out. Pop the trim rings off and pull the prn54321 cover off pull the bulb out and replace it

i never knew the shifter gate had lights cool! mine never worked since the car was new! going to rip that apart now!
