Noob Q (Headlight)

The passenger side lowbeam recently turned purple when on and just last night flickered then went out completely. I'm aware that autozone does have bulbs for the car and I have no problem replacing it myself as I'm acustom to working on cars but went ahead and called the dealer and they said it'd be about $150 to have replaced...Is this problem nothing more than a headlight bulb needing to be replaced or is going to the dealer the best way to handle this? Help appreciated, thanks.

there's been some posts about your problem, welcome to the forum and the Search button is greatly helpful, Search and u will find, if not, then post away.

other than that, many people has had different problems, i myself, my fuse went out so i replaced it and voila, my headlights are back, if purple, bulb is soon dying. try replacing the fuse, i took it to a small place that i've been to for my life and they jus did it for free. with $150, u could go buy the KAIXEN HID bulbs

Purple at start up- the death warning
Autozone does NOT have the right HID bulbs for our car- I dont care what they say-
they do have the right hi beam bulb though
Dealer gets 150-200 just per bulb for the part!
Replace them in pairs and contact Excelerate for Kaixen replacement bulbs ~150 a pair

Take the bulb from the other side and put it in on the side that wet out. If that side lights up its the bulb. Always replace the bulbs in pairs. Contact our vendor Excelerate for bulbs.
