New Headlight Condensation
Hey guys first time posting on here. So for my birthday my GF got me a pair of the cleared and painted black inside headlight casings. I installed them a month ago and this past week has had a lot of rain and now there's a lot of condensation built up inside them. they obviously had to open them up to get the orange reflective piece out and paint the inside black and didn't properly air tight seal them back up. Any good ideas on how to fix this? i have some silicone I was thinking about just adding around where the two halves are joined but not to confident this will completely fix the problem. PLEASE HELP!!

yeah. its not hard. rtv silicone and time. take the bumper off and take off the headlights. take hid ballast and hid bulb out of the headlight assembly. put your headlights on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven at 225 degrees. for about 15mins or so. after that take the metal clip off the corner of the headlight assembly. your headlight should be splitting into two pieces. the back side housing and the front lens part. just pull them apart. reason for heating them up is to kinda turn the glue holding them together back to sticky glue instead of hard and cured. now i just cleaned the insides of mine and reheated them and clamped them together and then i siliconed every inch of the place where the two halves come together. let them clamped for about 20 mins. let the glue re-harden. your headlights should be as good as new. ive never had problems with mine since. takes some time to do though.

ck out the diy section if you want to use the oven method
Its very easy to MELT the mounting tabs for the housing,,then you are in bad shape
easy method-reseal silicone outside of seal, and stop spraying water into the lights
