Dont think i have seen a diy or pics of it being done. Having said that though, it is VERY straight forward, and you shouldnt need pics if you look at it. Take drivers side wheel off, place jack under trans (with a 2x4 between them) and support the trans. Remove the 2 bolts from the bottom of each mount, then remove the 2 bolts that hold it to the trans. Lift trans slightly if needed to remove mounts.

While I understand your physical limitations with a bad back, the tranny mounts are easy to access and relatively simple when compared to the motor mount's replacement procedure.
As Fsttyms1 earlier stated, support the tranny's weight before loosening the mount's bolts. Nothing hidden, just visualize and proceed to the R&R. The hardest thing is going to be laying on your back, while doing this.
The 2 mounts and labor for a shop with a rack shouldn't set you back too much, compared to the motor mounts......maybe $100-150 total. May not be worth your risking a bad back for,IMO.

With the car on jack stands you shouldn't even have to get on your back. It can be done sitting.

i really do appreciate the comments....im going to try and tackle it this weekend, there was no way i could do the engine mounts on my own,but if tranny mounts are as easy as u guys make it sound,i should be ok,i hope....only question i have is,are yall sure there is only 2 for the tranny, the guy i payed to do the motor mounts said all 3 tranny mounts r broke,i trust him cuz he rebuilt my tranny 4 years ago,and i beat the hell out of it 3.5 of those 4 and still occasionally beat the shit out of it....now i have to break n the xlr8 mounts so i need to do the tranny first, but i just want to make sure i dont do a half ass job,2 or 3 tranny mounts? i hope just 2,2 is better than 3 lol

Too bad ya just didn't have it done at the same time as the other three motor mounts, especially if he knew they were bad at that time. Labor would've been hardly nothing and the two tranny mounts would only set you back about $75.
If you're still uncertain about the job, search for a diagram from a TL service manual.

Your mechanic is wrong. There are only 2 mounts for the trans (there are 3 for the motor)

the motor isnt uneven just looks as if its sitting higher, and judging by the way the tranny mount looks,it looks like when i put the new one in that it will have to b stretched...i dont know, i uploaded pic again, dont know why it shows for about 15 minutes then dissapears..i think im doing it right

I dont know how you go those transmission mounts in with just supporting the transmission. At the certain point I can only lift it up so much as to where the frame will start going with it.

If ya only need a little bit more of clearance, try loosening up the front motor mount.

mrbustrbrown, you were able to remove the transmission mounts by just slightly lifting the trans?
I ask because i'm trying to get the driver's side lower control arm's arm to frame bolt out, but the transmission mount closest to the firewall is in the way. Additionally i'm parked on an incline (more than 15 degrees, but less than 30), with the front of the vehicle (parked towards the top of the incline) on jack stands, and do not want to start lifting the engine+trans while on this incline. The parking brake is on firmly, and the rear wheels are chocked, but still, i wouldn't be pushing the engine+trans straight up (perpendicular to the horizontal axis of the car) if i go to support/lift it.
