Are My Front Shocks Seated Right

So i was doing my oil change this afternoon and i noticed my front shocks didn't seem to be seated all the way down like i would suspect. Its been a while since i did my suspension, Illuminas and eibach springs, and i can't remember if this is how it suppose to be or if its suppose to be further down in the yoke.

Doesnt look right but i havent installed them on the TL. Most shocks for the TL have a little wedge/nipple that fits into the opening in the back side of the fork. Is yours in it?

same as a cl, but that looks normal, especially if the bolt is tight, there is a little indent in the shock (if you remove the wishbone itself) that the actual bolt has to pass through, and it looks to be tightened, so not much you can do anyways, other then making sure that bolt is tight

yeah bolt is tight, i remember when i put them on the indentation is in the right place, just always though it looked weird not going all the way to that lip there on the shock.

iirc factory one look like that also basically, but remember very hard for that shock to slide anywhere once the bolt is tightened down, large amount of surface area for gripping, and kinda fine threads on the bolts, so it tighten downs even tighter with the same amount of torque as course thread bolts
