well i was driving going about 25 mph when all of a sudden the car just shut off while the car was in motion. i guided it to the side and began to hear a strange noise coming from the area where the front passengers feet would be. does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong?

yes the started up fine after it stalled out. the noise sounded like metal rubbing or grinding against something. I have also noticed a noise coming from the same area whenever I have the fan blowing cool air. but once I turn the heat on it stops.

the starter seems to work just fine, at least I can't notice anything yet
