i had my front and passenger mounts changed on 11-15-2005 by a local mechanic and my back one wich is the motor/tranny mount changed like 2 weeks ago by my dealer when the changed my tranny and they charged me $28.

when i start my car i feel the front end shake and its real noticable. right after start up when the car is cold i can hear and feel the motor shaking. and now while i slow down to a roll i would hit the gas and hear/feel a slight thump. its getting annoying cause i keep thinking my new tranny is slipping.

my question is do u guys think the dealer didnt change my rear mount and screwed up my other mounts while changing my tranny??

 

today i went to pull out of a parking spot and i head and felt 2 thumps as if i ran something over. i think it was my tranny slipping. i cant wait till next year when i buy a new car.

 

A slipping tranny doenst do any thing but slip. It wouldnt make a thump. pay attention to the tach and see if the rpms are climbing up and you not accelerating at teh same rate the tach is going up. If you dont see any thing then the tranny isnt slipping. (the key time to watch is between shifts


If your that deadset on thinking about it being the tranny may i recomend going to the dealer?????

 

does anyone know what the thumping coould be? cause it happened again today while pulling out of a spot. it was two quick and noticable thumps. could it be my axel?? it didnt feel like this b4 my tranny blew.
