I have a 96 acura TL 2.5 and whenever I'm driving with the with the windows down I hear metal tapping noise. The noise stops whenever the car is stopped. I have had the CV joints replaced awhile ago, so i know that is not it. Does anyone have any Ideas?

If you only hear it when the windows are down, maybe there is something stuck in one of your tires, and it makes the noise when it hits the pavement on each rotation. ??? Just trying to start with simple stuff, especially since you just had your CV joints replaced. Those usually only click or tap during slow sharp turns when they go bad.

can you be more descriptive with the noise? what exactly do you mean metal tapping? do you mean clicking? banging? what?

now i see you have a 96. you may want to ask the 1G forum, they will be more knowledgeable about this than we will...
