Question Loose Passenger Door

'02 TL with 190K miles. Been driving the car for about 9 years now and recently noticed my passenger door seems to be off balance. All parts (lights, alarm, locks) work fine, but I need to give it a little extra push to make it close all the way. When I open slowly it feels like the door is dragging on the threshold (is that what it's called?), until it clears then drops about 1/16th inch as I open all the way. I suspect the door has been slammed too much. but wondering best way to DIY adjust the door so it opens/closes properly again.

Sounds like the hinges are worn and need replacing.
There is an adjustment you can do with a 12mm wrench.

Great info! Is there a link I can get this manual? Want to check "step 7" after making the adjustments.

You might try a couple body shops, or repair shops, just for an estimate. This is one of those jobs that is so easy for someone with experience, but can be really frustrating for a first timer. You shouldn't have to worry about water leaks, as you aren't changing the position of the door when closed, only making it align to the striker before closing.

Open the door part or all the way and see if you can lift up on it and feel or get any movement. If so you need to replace your hinges or pins at minimum. They are easy to do, but can be hard for a first timer to get aligned right. Mark the positioning with a marker before hand to give you a reference to get you in the ball park.

Surprisingly no movement. After closer observation, the "dragging" feel I'm getting happens when the latch separates from the lock. Not sure that's the right terminology, but it's where the door and frame of car meet/lock.
