looking for a torque converter

Hey guys, Im trying to get my wifes car all situated before I deploy again and im having some trouble finding a torque converter at a good price. My old tranny is toast, and I found a used very low miles tranny that the fluid looked good in and I got a good deal on it. I dont want to use my old converter due to the burnt up fluid and what ever else could have been floating around in there, So wheres the best place to get a converter?

Thanks for any help guys.

Start calling trans rebuild shops and see if they can order a rebuilt or new unit and see what they want for it.

Any transmission shop or transmission parts supplies should be able to get you a torque converter. Cost around $150 or so for a reman one. Make sure that you put the lock up o-ring on to the converter hub before installing into the transmission (you might have to use the old one over from your old converter) The new converter might come without the lock-up o-ring.
