My low gas light came on the other day just as I was pulling into the filling station. The most I could get into the tank was 14.3 gallons, which says the light comes on with about three gallons left in the tank. I get around 300 miles per tank (22 mpg) in pretty much city driving (TL-S, no mods).

Last tank was about 400 miles on 89 octane. Most of the driving was cruise control at 80mph on the turnpike. Have about 2/3 tank left now and about 275 miles...mostly city driving.
Properly inflated tires DO make a difference.

I can get about 450 if I use the cruise on the highway at about 70mph and thats taking it till the light comes on. I normally get about 365 to a tank and that includes little jaunts to 85-90 here and there and city driving. I don't like to run it down to the light comes on but I cannot see me getting much better then 460. The car is just to much fun to drive at high speeds to worry about gas mileage.

Last tank, i filled up around...13.9 gallons, and ran nearly 310 miles when the lights came on, but i didn't know how much would be left after the lights came on so i refilled again but only took about 13.1 gallons to fill up the whole tank. On websites i read that the 03 TL should be able to eat up 17 gallons...so which means that i still have about 3 gallons left after the lights come on??

I got 395 last tank 87 octane. Took me 3 weeks to use the tank since the TL sits most of the time now. Driving the Camry now, 540-650 miles per tank every tank of 87 octane.

on premium gas, driving in houston, i get up to about 275 before the light comes on. consider i have a little bit of a heavy foot sometimes when someone pisses me off. which is almost every day when i drive to the University of Houston on I-45.
