Heater/ AC fan
My 99 TL isnt blowing any air out of the vents, i can feel a little trickle of heat so i know its making it, but the fan doesnt seem to be working. could this be electrical or do i need a new fan. Any help would be nice.

the connector for power to the fan often gets loose or corroded
look under outside lower edge of glovebox for white connector
acura makes a kit with longer wires to reduce pulling stresses, and new connectors
sometimes it fries and takes out the resistor too -look on back side of fan motor mounting plate
see diy on cabin filter replacement for more info

the DIY helped a lot in getting access to the filter and what i think is the fan. nothing looks out of place. the wires are all connected tight and nothing looks burnt or broken. any other suggestions before i by a new fan

ck the power for 12 volts at fan connector
(fuse and relay already ckd and swaped with other?)
remove fan and direct test 12 volt power to it
fan failure is rare,,remove cover to resistor (that finned thing) and inspect
dont buy anything till you know power is good
how do the cabin/fan filters look?

Since everything looked good, i just decided to buy a new fan motor and new filters (mine were beyond bad). I get them at 6pm today, only question i have now is how do i remove the fan part from the motor part. I see the one bolt at the top, took it off and the fan is still on there really good. Do i just need to use force or is there an easier way to slide that fan off the motor.

The fan is held by three screws in a triangle fashion. Once you pull the fan out the resistor is in plain sight in the same box. It gets cool air from the fan movement. Its got two screws holding it in. its usually those two things most of the time that affects the no heat/air.
Youre gonna have to stick your head up under the glove box to see the fan screws. Anf oh yeah since you bought a motor you dont need to take apart the fan from the motor but id hold on to that receipt. I bet its the fan connector, or the resistor. Those are the most known failure parts.

I replaced my motor and harness on ebay. The fan was made by a company named tyc. The harness came from acuralynn which I think is a sponsor on this site. They are an acura dealership in lynwood california and have the updated wiring harness for the fan blower. Both parts together cost me 65 dollars
