ok so i bought this acura couple months ago with issues( i knew this getting into it but i bought it cause i had lost mine in july from a rollover) anyways my issue right now is i got light issues, my cluster won light up when i turn them on, my tail lights wont turn on(brake lights work when pushed) and for some reason when i turn the knob only once as in turn on the blinker lights for i guess going into night time or rainy weather nothing happens they don turn on, cluster won't turn on or tail lights, when i turn the knob all the way only headlights turn on. also when i turn on the car every time i push the brakes for the first time a third brake light sensor comes on?? I've checked the third brake light and only bulb was out and i already replaced it code still pops up. only modification i see done to the headlights is they did away with the ballasts for some reason?? i plan to replace these and make it oem again but i don think thats why my lights won come on?? cause headlights still come on... also headlights stay on after turning off the car and getting out?? also when setting the factory alarm the horn sounds diff from when pushing the horn and the blinkers don blink to signal alarm is on. don't know if that helps but provided as much info as i can recall any ideas or pointer are greatly appreciated

I'm not sure about all the issues but for the cluster, parking, and tail lights, did you check all the fuses?

I actually have the same issue with the "brake lamp" indicator light going on when I press the brakes, but none of my brake lights are out. If someone could shed some light on that, that would be great.

well i found out it was because the alarm i had installed in was sending direct power to lights and had blown a fuze, but i can maybe help you diagnose lets start with one problem at a time

I have this same problem but with no brake lamp indicator. I have a sub/amp installed in my trunk and somebody accidentally cross-wired my aux wire to my power and shorted A LOT. Blew up a few relays/fuses. Check your 'small light' fuse. My fuse socket has melted inside and I have to replace the fuse box itself. Then check to see if my marker lights (rear lights/cluster lights) will finally work.

My brake lights, headlights, highbeams, day lights, stereo, dome, turn signals all work. Just the markers don't. Even my gear lights work in the cluster.

Im having the same problems do u remember which fuse it was i have checked all of mine on both sides of the dash and on the passenger side under the hood and none are blown. Please help

Hi Joshua, welcome to Acurazine. from the problems above it appears that the fuse is just a method to "protect" the items downstream (lights in this case) from being destroyed by a short circuit.

1. Did you identify the source of the short in your case? not doing so will just blow the fuse again when you replace it. If the fuse is indeed blown.

2. Have you tried looking in the service manual for the fuse in question?

Can someone help me on telling me how I can get my spoiler brake light to work instead of my 3rd brake light by the rear windshield, i want the spoiler brake light to work but don’t know how to connect it. Any ideas??

If you open the trunk and pull off the liner you will see the wiring from the 3rd tail light. Since I also have a spoiler and my spoiler light works, I can at least verify that all the connections are under the liner. Good luck!
