fan continuously running
Ive got a 2000 acura tl and the fan is continuously running. Im not sure what the problem is, if there is a problem. The only performance things ive done to it are short ram air, and chip. Please help me out . Ive only had my car overheat a couple times when the ac is on. ????

Get rid of what ever "chip" you put on the car.
If the car overheats there is something wrong. It doesnt mean continue to drive it when it goes down. Check the radiator fluid level. Make sure its full in the radiator and the overflow bottle is at the correct line. If it continues to do so you may have a faulty thermostat or a faulty fan switch

sometimes coolant is lost while installing a short ram
the TL is VERY picky about bleeding the system with a specific method detailed in the owner book
The temp guage should run just under 1/2 and stay within a click or 2 of that in any conditions
3/4 to full hot is something wrong- get it looked at and fixed
The fan sensor on bottem of radiator is a popular failure ~$35
Does the fan run a while after engine shut off?
When you look at the engine running- ac on makes passenger side fan turn on
Engine temp is control for driver side fan
In the air bleeding procedure it calls for waiting for the fan to come on-run a certain time, times and rpms

Like stated before, check fluid and make sure its topped off. You may have a faulty fan switch.
Still get rid of that "chip: they dont do any thing for our cars, and often screw things up.

If it happened before the work- I would suspect the fan switch before thinking an air bubble- that would mean there is a leak in the coolant,,, and no mention of temp prob was stated

I can also hear my fan running right after I turn off and get out of the car.
Is this normal? I haven't done any performance mods, everything is stock.
Actually, now that I think about it, this morning while driving to work, the temperature gauge was at half way and a little more than half way.
It is almost always at below half way. Should I be concerned about this fluctuation?

anybody have a DIY for radiator coolant change? is it as simple as an oil change?
i need to do this as my fan comes on after a lot of city driving. it also comes off when the car is shut off sometimes.
if you can post the link for the DIY ( i've searched and it came up with the
3rd gen diy) that would be awesome. i just replaced a 3 month old battery because my fan is running alot even when my car is off.

Excuse my ignorance:
I checked the reservoir and it was clear that I needed to add more coolant. I filled it to the MAX line and I drove last night for about 30 miles and during that time the temp. gauge was resting where it normally does (slightly below half way).
Then on my way home it started to fluctuate like I had previously mentioned and I checked the reservoir and it was almost empty again.
I filled it up to the max line again and I haven't drove since but it's not normal for the fluid to be consumed that fast is it?

thx guys, i checked my coolant reservoir and found that it was very low. filled it up and now the fan doesn't come on so often.
btw... just a reminder to those how want to top off the coolant. All you need to do is twist open the white resevoir cap ( located on the right of the radiator) that connects to a black tube. then you just need to fill it up to the top line and your done.
you don't really need to take off the radiator cap. i guess its just for getting rid of the bubbles when you do a coolant flush.
