I had this problem before and thought I fixed it but it came back haunting me again.. I was told it goes off randomly from my neighbors where it will turn off the alarm by itself and come back later again.. a few questions is on the drivers seat window there is a red light blinking with security written, what is that for? Here are a few things I have tried..

1. Lock the doors with fob with one click only (two clicks makes a beep indicating security will be on) still alarm.

2. Lock the door with only the key manually at driver seat window .. still alarm

3. Leave car unlocked .. but my car locks itself after few seconds .. still alarm..

4. Turn on engine to check sensor on the dash board to see if any doors or trunk open , none are open but still alarm..

5. Reopen and reclose all doors trunks and hood. Still alarm..

Right now I feel as long as I lock my door somehow without the red light blinking .. it won't alarm as much but I wish if you can provide me some test runs I can do or a solution.. thanks!

With me last year, the hood switch sensor was malfunctioning so the alarm would be going off randomly because it thought that the hood was being popped open. It's fairly easy to unplug the switch and you can then see if the problem reappears. You can also test it if you have a multimeter.
