Electrical Problems :(

I just sold my car like 4 days ago, the buyer calls me to tell me something strange had happen to him.

While he was driving the electrical system reseted. Basically the electrical gauges inside the car went off and came back on.

I did a little research and found that 1999 Acura TL's had this problem, but this is a 2000.

Now his brake lights don't work and the gear shift is always locked, so he has to unlock the shift box with the keys to be able to turn on the engine.

I found a solution after searching here with the brake light/gear shift problems here: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/diy-brake-switch-614710/

But what do you guys think about the system reseting? I just changed the battery 6 months ago, but I didn't really clean the connectors when switching in the old with the new.

Thanks in advance.

the gearshift locks when there is a problem with the brake lights or the nuetral safety switch
Have him ck if the brake lights work at all,,and all the lights-each bulb works-center brake light too

ck the brake light sender unit at pedal--common wearout part- easy diy
one sendor brakes- the other is cruise disconnect by braking

they used the same crap part on 00s for the ignition back--replace it -diy under 50 bucks 35 iirc for the part

ck the battery cable connections but the switch is most likely suspect
