Cracking paint on hood roof and trunk

Cracking paint on hood roof and trunk

Hey guys..Im a noob to the site. I have a 02 Type-S NBP! Anyway the issue im having is cracking paint. Anyone have this problem? Should a 2002 have paint cracking already? Anyone know if there is a recall or something or something to do with the particular paint.?

nope. probably had a shop repaint it once and the shop that did it messed up..


solution... repaint it yourself..

Sounds like a shoddy paint job. That or the previous owner (if you are not the first) didn't take care of the paint?

BAHA.. jk jk.. don't repaint it yourself.....

if there was a shop that had previously done the work.. you should let them kno.. hoping they given you warranty on it..

if you buoght the car used... find out where the previous owner repainited it..

Yeah..i did buy it used..its just little marks in the paint.its not chipping or anything

Pictures would help us help you. You can refer to the picture posting thread if you need help with that. It might be something that is easily buffed out by hand with some decent wax ir maybe a clay bar.

I'm almost certain the same thing is going on with plenty of my paint. It just wasn't taken care of before I owned it and has light surface scratches and unsightly swirls...

Yeah. Its kinda sad. LOL. I was looking at the finish, and it kinda looks like a broken window, that has yet to fully break... But only on the hood... again NBP.
