CL to TL Trans Swap?

Wondering if anyone knows if the transmissions are the same for 2001 model year CL and TL's?

I crashed my CL with less than 5000 miles on the trans yesterday morning, searching CL there are a few TL's in the area with a bad trans for very reasonable prices. So assuming i can get the trans out, is this swap possible?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Pick up an accord V6 trans (06-07) and not have to worry about trans failures.

Mainly because I have a fresh-ish rebuilt trans... I know the better way is what you have said, but i have this car sitting in my garage and i know the history.

That said, i ended up buying another 2001 CL with a smoked trans. However my last car is a type-s and the new one is not. If I decided to swap motors too, anyone know what else is required? I am assuming that it will bolt in. How about electronics?

Thanks in advance for the wisdom.

I believe you would have to swap the engine and transmission together. I think I've read that the wiring harness is different between the Type S and premium models

Nice, it'll actually be easier to swap the motor and trans together, be sure to keep the type S ECU and wiring harness too. Everything will be plug and play.
