CD player error code

Does anyone know what the display code ER-E1 means? Mine displays this sometimes when trying to play or insert a CD. Owners manual simply says to contact the dealer.

i get that code too sometimes, so i just push a few radio buttons here and there, turn it on and off a couple times and it starts working again.
