A/C Heater Blower Repair DIY

If the blower motor's wiring harness connector looked good and ya replaced the resistor pack to temporarily
fix the issue......try a self diagnostic of the climate control. Something may be shorted or not working properly within the system. Perhaps ya just got a bad resistor....does it happen while set on either hot or cold ?

Super hot day out and my A/C was just maxed (on Full Auto) and then suddenly, silence. Stopped working.
I get codes "K" & "N" (air mix control link, door, or motor & blower motor circuit)
I checked out all the fuses, wires and then the transistor - there's just a little bit of crud on it.. I replaced it.
Then I got only the "N" code.
I mess with the wires and splices again (previous owner must have had the motor or harness replaced - hence the splices) and I must have wiggled the wire just right because the motor fired right up. Add some electrical tape for good measure and done.
Now, no more "N" code, but now have the "K" code again... Did I short something messing with the wires?

Recheck the blower motor's wiring harness connection. It may be a good idea to replace it if unsure.
Check the air mix control motor's operation.

Hello KevlarCC,
Just a quick thank you for a great post and covering all the bases on this troubleshooting article. My issued ended up being the fuse on the circuit board. I ended up using a older version of a car fuse which is a little bigger than the Acura fuses in the car. Drilled 2 small holes in the 2 legs of the fuse, soldered 2 small wires on them and then soldered the other ends of the wire to the board. Worked great. One of the best articles I have used!

Update with part number for blower motor harness
For anyone looking for the blower motor harness, here is the updated Acura part # 04321-S0K-A00 and it was definitely what was wrong with my system. Also had to replace the blower motor as it had a badly melted connector due to the harness failure. Now everything is working great!
