Does anyone know how the bulb is suppose to go into the headlight fixture? There is the bulb and that little round thing attached to the bulb. I have that little round thing facing up(away from the ballast) is that correct?

The little round thing I was talking about is on the Bulb. According to that 02-03 picture it is #6. And it looks like it is facing down. mine is facing up, it looks like I put it on upside down.

Can anyone confirm if it goes in with that little round thing on the bulb down?(like the picture #6)

 

It should only go in one way. There are notches around the base of the bulb.

 

the external wire in a shroud= goes DOWN

make sure 1 armed bulb retainer clip is down and locked or bulb is not sitting in place correctly!
usual caution of no touching the bulbs bare handed
