Battery disconnected, no code for navi/radio
Some jerk recently hit my 2000 TL and it had to go into the shop. When I picked it up yesterday I noticed the SRS light stayed on. After some searching it seems that the most likely explanation was that the body shop disconnected the battery - maybe the electric window motors needed replacing.
Today I try to use the navi and it's asking for a code, as does the radio.
I can't find the card that listed the codes - I got the car Oct 1999 so it's been a while.
I realize I have to take it to the dealer but without the code or the serial numbers of the navi/radio, am I totally screwed or are they able to they reset everything.
This whole thing with being hit, fighting with their insurance company and getting it repaired has been a nightmare - this feels like the final straw...
Thanks in advance for any info.

You can search around on the CL forum and on this forum for how you can get the serial number to display on the radio itself. As for the SRS light being on, did your bags deploy? Otherwise, disconnecting the battery will not cause that light to trigger.

After a long search I found a delivery checklist they gave me when I picked up the car and the radio code was listed on that and it worked. There was also a 4 digit 'key code' listed which I hoped was the navi but it didn't work - maybe that's some kind of ID for my car keys.
It's possible I entered a wrong code 3 times and now have to wait with the system turned on for an hour before I can try it - hope so. There was no difference in the feedback - still just said invalid pin.
The airbag didn't deploy - I did some searching and found some posts that mentioned the SRS light could come on if things weren't initialized properly when the battery was reconnected - maybe the car thinks the airbag was deployed. I haven't managed to find the page again but am looking for it.

here is the SRS light reset
Here are the instrustions for resetting the SRS light.
1. two wires green in a yellow block (small)
2. under dash left of steering wheel as the driver sits.
3. smaller yellow block is the right one and is located one inch above another
bigger yellow wire block which has a spring loaded connector.
Jump it with the paper clip, turn the car on, wait for the SRS light to go off,
yank the paperclip out. It'll light up again, shove the paperclip back in...then
it'll turn off. Yank it out. It'll then blink twice to tell you it's reset.
Don't worry about the timings...just do it as soon as you see the light change
(and do it quick).
I cut a thin paperclip to about 2cm long, then bent it with needle nosed
pliars so it looked like a staple. Then I just used the needle nosed pliars to
push it in and out of the plug. Just be careful to shove it into the right side
of the plug...the one side of the hole doesn't contact the metal.

Seems odd they'd put the radio code and not the navi code on the same sheet..

He implied they weren't going to charge me so we'll see - in any case, I'll just be glad to get my car back and all working again.
