Another low beam inquiry.....not a lot of light!! Can ya help?
Another low beam inquiry.....not a lot of light!! Can ya help?
OK Guys......I'm sure my answer is here somewhere but I'm sick of searching.......maybe you all can help me out. I just purchased a '99 TL and the low beams seem pretty dim. I know HID's degrade over time but I don't want to waste the money if low light is normal. Does a newly lamped TL light up the road well? If so, is one manufacturer brighter than the other? I'd like the best visibility possible. Thanks in advance!
are the lenses worn, dull, scratched, faded looking (like mine)? if so get them fixed or buy one of those kits (I got a 3M one) from Autozone or a similar store to get rid of all the age from the front. that will help the light some
and new bulbs will help also.
nothing will make our lights light up the road like the projector setup in newer cars so dont try but you can make it a lot better especially if nothing has been done to it yet.
good luck

unreal low prices on ballast kits, and can buy just bulbs from them too
suggest 5000k for closest to stock - lots of white light to see with on the road
I have them on my 01
call and mention acurazine
always replace bulbs in pairs
its also possible the ballast sytem is getting old and weak--it happens to hid parts,
they dont put out as much power,,
for 60 bucks you can replace everything and have no worries,,and great vision
