All 4 mounts, please help!!!

What's up everyone? I went to get my car checked out yesterday and was hit with a quote of about $950 for parts and labor, I was told I will need all four mounts, three for the motor one for the tranny, can I change these myself? Is this price about right? Just wondering if it's worth getting fixed, my car is a 1999 with 107,000 miles, this is very stressful right now, please give me some opinions/advice. Thanks!

950 sounds about right cause I had 4 motor mounts broken on my 05 tl and it was a headache cause u had to drive very slow because ur engine will go up and down and damage more shit in the car …I payed the price wid control arms, axles, and a new rack&pinion =/ idk if u love ur car its worth it but if u lookin for something new in the near future u shud part out ur car now

THERE ARE 5 MOUNTS IN ALL. 3 MOTOR AND 2 TRANNY. I doubt your rear motor mount is spent (those are the most expensive). Is your car clunking or bucking into gears? I'd change your front and side. Those are very easy to do your self. The tranny motors aren't very hard either and those are pretty cheap to buy. Go to acuraautomotiveparts.org and all 4 of those mounts will cost you about $250.00.

find a shop that knows TL-s, not someone looking up things in a book
or find local ziner to give you a hand
You can diy these no sweat

front mount usually goes first-about 60kmiles,,,then pass side takes extra load and fails
to have more than that is very odd, I would get a 2nd opinion
the front and rear mounts are the expensive one- fluid filled and vac boosted (most years) they run ~120-150 dollars,, and its a dealer part

Thanks for your responses guys, things are not looking so bad anymore, I love my TL, I've it for six years already and I can honestly say it's the most reliable care i've had and I know its 12 years old now but I still think it's sexy, any ziners live close to valley stream, ny that would be able to give me a hand? Also is there a diagram that could show me where all the mounts are? My mechanic mentioned one of the mounts that I would have to lift the entire engine up to change, is this true? Thanks again everyone

If they are original they are shot. These things average 50k. You can replace the front side and trans mounts very easily yourself for 200 or so

I have a 99 also. Did the front and side mount myself. They failed at around 100k. Around $250 for the parts/Acura mounts ordered online. The rear mount( just failed at 140k) I tryed to tackle myself but decided to have a mech. do it. The part and labor was $255 for the rear mount. It's much more difficult to replace. I ordered the rear mount for 155 and he installed it for 100 bucks. It's a fairly difficult job. So $505 for those 3. As for the Tranny mount/never have had to replace them.
